2020 has been a challenging year, so this Education Summit has been reimagined to help us meet the moment.
We are moving online and providing complimentary access to general session programming across all three days of the event, so everyone can come together to Regroup, Reset, and Reinvent in preparation for the remote/hybrid teaching demands ahead. We are convening university leaders, instructors, learners, epidemiologists, virologists, social scientists, political activists, and more, to unpack the uncertainty and possibility of our new normal—and explore actionable ways forward.
The event will include three days of research sharing, presidential panel conversations, campus reopening discussion forums, online teaching demonstrations, learning science workshops, participatory breakout sessions for focused conversations, social events for network building, family programming (to keep the young learners entertained), yoga and wellness hours, musical interludes by emerging student artists, and even a DJ for some virtual movemaking.
This is more than just an event. It is a community in action.
Together, we will:
Meet the moment... with our heads.
Through participatory panel discussions on the latest COVID-19 knowns and unknowns, the sharing of our “State of the Student” research findings, multi-modal instruction activities and assessment forums, and more, we will explore the practical applications of student-centered remote teaching and outcomes-focused curriculum building for 2020 planning and beyond.
Meet the moment... with our hands.
Through hands-on learning science workshops, “how-to” online teaching demonstrations, as well as morning yoga classes and meditation breaks, we will attempt to model effective online instruction by turning our talking/thinking into action, while also tending to our mental, spiritual, and physical selves.
Meet the moment... with our hearts.
Through mental health curriculum, sessions that seek to restore exchange and dialogue, reflective lightning talks on memorable teaching moments, family programming, happy hours, and live music, we will come together to celebrate the rich stuff of life—our diversity, our resilience, our creativity, and our connection to each other.

Education Summit 2020: Highlights
What previous attendees have had to say
“I just returned from the Course Hero Education Summit, and it was an educator’s dream. This conference, unlike many, encourages natural conversations and connections made with people you would normally not have the opportunity to meet."
“This was a world-class event with the best educators I have ever met. This cross-disciplinary summit of our nation’s best collegiate teaching minds informed, inspired, and affirmed our life’s work.”
Dr. Reilly White, Associate Professor of Finance, International, Technology, and Entrepreneurship University of New Mexico
“As a chemist, I didn’t think I had that much in common with accountants or economists, but it turns out that we can use some of the same strategies in the classroom to connect with students. It was a refreshing change of pace.”
